Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) in Colorado to perform analyses of blood, urine, and other fluids, and to support physicians with accurate, timely results. The role includes phlebotomy, specimen processing, and collaboration with clinical teams in a patient-centered environment.

The position requires an MLT credential (or MLS) with an Associate’s degree and at least one year of lab experience, along with strict adherence to safety and confidentiality policies.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in clinical laboratory science or medical technology required.
• Certification as an MLT or MLS preferred / MLS level may be applicable.
• One year of lab experience required; phlebotomy proficiency expected.

Responsibilities

• Perform chemical analyses of body fluids to identify normal and abnormal components.
• Analyze blood cells using microscopic techniques and lab procedures.
• Prepare blood products for transfusion including typing and compatibility testing.
• Perform venipuncture using proper aseptic technique.
• Calibrate equipment and perform routine maintenance and inventory management.
• Communicate critical laboratory results to physicians and nursing staff promptly.
• Conduct quality control and sign off on QC reports as required.
