Job summary

Huntsville Hospital Health System is seeking a Medical Technician, MLT, CLT to perform laboratory procedures across multiple sections in the clinical laboratory, including blood bank, hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, and microbiology.

The role includes maintaining instruments, performing quality control and calibrations, reviewing QC data for accuracy, and assisting in improving lab operations. Other duties may include teaching, inventory, and writing procedures depending on area of excellence.

Qualifications

• Certification as MLT or CLT is required (ASCP/AAB/AMT accepted).

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory procedures across multiple sections of the clinical laboratory.
• Maintain instruments and perform Quality Control procedures and Calibrations.
• Review QC and Calibration data to ensure accuracy.
• Aide in improving laboratory performance; may assist with teaching, purchasing, and inventory.
• Other duties such as writing procedures depending on the area of expertise.
