Job summary

Huntsville Hospital is seeking a Medical Technologist to perform complex laboratory analyses and interpret test results. You will correlate data with physiological conditions, design and evaluate new methods, and supervise a lab section in the supervisor's absence.

The role emphasizes confidentiality, accuracy, and rapid prioritization in a fast-paced environment, with at least 4 years of MT experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Certification from ASCP, AMT or AAB within 6 months of hire.
• Recertification required every 3 years if certified on/after 2004-01-01.
• Certification does not expire for earlier certified individuals.

Responsibilities

• Performs repetitive and complex laboratory analyses.
• Correlates and interprets laboratory data based on physiological conditions.
• Designs, evaluates and implements new laboratory methods.
• Supervises a laboratory section/shift in the absence of the supervisor.

Education

ASCP/AMT/AAB certification eligibility within 6 months
