Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology or relevant medical/scientific discipline required.
• At least three years of clinical experience required.
• Certification as Medical Laboratory Scientist by ASCP BOC or equivalent
• Career Ladder requires Path and Lab ICCE progression (internal) or complete requirements within 90 days (external).

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing assigned to the department.
• Recognize unusual test results and resolve discrepancies.
• Establish work priorities and handle multiple procedures including troubleshooting instruments.
• Maintain knowledge of current SOPs and assist in drafting/revising SOPs, training documents, validation/verification plans and summaries.
• Maintain excellent communication with the Department and Laboratory Services personnel.
