Mercy Health’s Lourdes Hospital seeks a Medical Laboratory Technician I (MLT) to perform routine tests on blood, tissues and specimens, ensuring accurate results for physicians. You will adhere to patient safety standards and operate various lab instruments in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The role emphasizes strict quality control, proper specimen handling, and collaboration with healthcare teams to deliver timely, reliable results supporting patient care.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform routine tests on blood, tissues, and other specimens.
• Must understand patient safety and lab techniques to ensure accurate results.
• Ability to operate clinical lab equipment and follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform analytical tests in a timely and accurate manner.
• Determine specimen acceptability through visual inspection and result review.
• Maintain QC procedures and ensure results meet established ranges.
• Keep work area safe and clean and troubleshoot equipment.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.
