Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or CLIA grandfathered MLT regulations.
• Less than 1 year of experience and a clinical laboratory internship.
• Demonstrated technical skills and ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific documents.
• Ability to read, understand, and speak basic English.
• Demonstrated dependability and flexibility in scheduling.
• Ability to apply mathematical skills and interpret technical instructions.

Responsibilities

• Performs high complexity, moderate complexity, or waived laboratory testing in the assigned department using established procedures.
• Utilizes advanced instrumentation and methodologies; reports results with independent judgment.
• Monitors quality control and troubleshoots issues before reporting patient results.
• Performs required preventive maintenance on departmental equipment.
• Provides clinical orientation and training for new employees or students.
