Job summary

GrahamRMC is seeking a dedicated Medical Laboratory professional to perform routine tests for disease diagnosis and treatment, including hematology, chemistry and transfusion-related procedures. You will ensure quality control, patient safety, and adherence to HIPAA while supporting a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires a high level of accuracy, strong English communication, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a hospital laboratory environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with ten years medical laboratory experience.
• Associate degree in related science fields preferred.
• Professional registration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain established hospital policies and quality assurance standards.
• Perform procedures related to blood cell counting, coagulation, hematology, chemistry, serology and transfusion medicine.
• Perform venipunctures observing asepsis to prevent infection and contamination.
• Prepare reagents, stains and perform Gram stains, wet mounts and cultures as required.
• Oversee Blood Bank and Hematology Departments and assist with Quality Control monitoring.
• Maintain inventory and ensure confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
