Job summary

Keesler Medical Center in Biloxi, MS, is seeking a Civilian Clinical Laboratory Scientist to join the laboratory services team. You will perform a full range of tests across core sections and support quality and safety objectives on site.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship required.
• Basic requirement: Bachelor's or higher in biological sciences with NAACLS MLS/CLS program.
• Certification as MT/MLS (ASCP/AMT or equivalent) required.
• One year of specialized clinical laboratory experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist in a department (Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, Coagulation, Microbiology, Blood Bank).
• Perform a full range of laboratory testing.
• Assist supervisor with goals and objective alignment.
• Observe maintenance and checks on laboratory equipment.
• Develop relationships with Patient Safety/Risk Management and Compliance.
