Job summary

Live Well Homecare Laboratory Technician position focusing on manual and automated tests to aid in disease diagnosis and treatment. You will analyze patient samples with attention to demographics and specimen criteria.

Responsibilities include instrument calibration, quality control review, proficiency testing, and maintaining regulatory compliance, while ensuring documentation and strong customer service in a clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required or equivalent.
• Certifications such as MLT(ASCP), MLT(AAB), MT(AAB), MT(HEW), or MT(ASCP) are required upon hire; CLT(NCA) acceptable.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a CLIA-accredited laboratory preferred.
• Strong organizational skills, basic computer proficiency, and experience with LIS and Microsoft software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze patient samples and ensure result reliability based on demographics and specimen criteria.
• Perform calibration, analyze quality control data, and verify test accuracy.
• Participate in proficiency testing and continuing education; support performance improvement.
• Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs on laboratory instruments.
• Handle LIS and HIS functions and ensure system integrity.
• Maintain documentation, monitor supplies, and uphold workplace cleanliness.
• Provide excellent face-to-face and telephone customer service.
