Job summary

Valley Health is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician for the Third Shift. The role requires performing automated and manual testing across Blood Bank, Chemistry, Coagulation, Hematology, Microbiology and Serology, with proficiency in phlebotomy where applicable.

Education required is an Associates degree in a chemical, biological or clinical lab science; transcripts must be submitted. Licensure in WV may be required. Excellent attention to detail and composure under stress are essential.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in chemical, biological or clinical laboratory/medical technology from an accredited institution.
• Transcripts required with application.
• Alternative degrees in science or military laboratory training may be accepted if CLIA requirements are met.

Responsibilities

• Perform automated and manual testing in Blood Bank, Chemistry, Coagulation, Hematology, Microbiology, and Serology.
• Instrument maintenance; interpret calibrations and QC.
• Prioritize work and maintain professionalism under stress.
