Job summary

Hims & Hers in New Jersey is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to perform high-complexity testing and analysis of clinical specimens in a fast-paced lab environment.

Shifts include Wednesday-Saturday 3:00 PM - 1:00 AM and Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM. You will operate chemistry instrumentation, review results, and ensure QA/compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field.
• Current certification as a Medical Laboratory Technologist preferred.
• 1–2 years clinical chemistry experience preferred; new grads considered.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized analysis on blood, serum, urine, and other body fluids using automated analyzers and manual techniques.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot chemistry instrumentation, ensuring proper calibration and quality control.
• Review and validate test results; identify and resolve discrepancies or abnormal findings quickly.
• Adhere to laboratory SOPs, CLIA standards, and quality assurance practices.
• Monitor and document quality control data, instrument maintenance logs, and reagent inventory.
• Collaborate with technologists, laboratory assistants, and supervisory staff to maintain efficient workflow.
• Participate in proficiency testing, competency assessments, and continuing education activities.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the Laboratory Information System (LIS).
• Follow safety protocols, including PPE and proper handling of biohazardous materials.
