Job summary

Medical City McKinney is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician PRN to perform routine and complex testing across chemistry, hematology, microbiology and serology. You will work to deliver accurate results and maintain quality control in a busy hospital lab.

Qualified candidates will have an Associate degree, MLT certification within 6 months of start date, and at least one year of hospital lab experience preferred; strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required.
• Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) certification must be obtained within 6 months of start date.
• At least one year hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform chemical, bacteriological, serological, and microscopic procedures in one or more lab sections.
• Produce accurate results in hematology, serology, chemistry, blood bank, coagulation, urinalysis, microbiology, and related areas.
• Maintain quality results by running standards and controls, calibrating equipment, and monitoring QC procedures.
