Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician III to join the provider care team. The role emphasizes accurate, timely lab testing, evaluating and reporting results, and maintaining compliance with quality and regulatory standards.

You will interact with internal teams and external clients with a focus on Mercy Signature Service. This position requires an Associate's degree acceptable to a certification agency and ASCP or equivalent certification, plus at least three years of clinical lab

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a major acceptable to a certification agency.
• Current certification as medical laboratory technician through the American Society for Clinical Pathology or equivalent.
• Three years acceptable clinical laboratory experience.
• If ASCP certification was achieved after January 1, 2004, continuing certification maintenance must be documented to insure continuous and current certification.
• Associated degree that meets requirements for ASCP MLT certification.

• Perform laboratory tests accurately, precisely, and timely.
• Evaluate and report test results while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Maintain high standards of accuracy and quality in the laboratory workflow.
