Job summary

Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital is seeking a Clinical Lab Assistant Supervisor to lead the laboratory team, schedule staff, and ensure accurate specimen processing in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires a high school diploma, 5 years as a phlebotomist with specimen processing, and leadership experience; ASCP certification upon hire is preferred. Work hours are days, Monday–Friday, in Arlington, TX.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• 5 years experience as a phlebotomist and specimen processing required.
• 2 years leadership experience preferred.
• PBT(ASCP) - Phlebotomy Technician Upon Hire preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees work schedules and personnel assignments for the department.
• Assist in investigation of corrected and situation reports when required. Informs supervisor of any situation that requires counseling of employees.
• Coordinates evaluation of new techniques and procedures in the laboratory in terms of equipment, space method comparison.
• Checks and investigates specimens not collected/received on the outstanding tests list.
