Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 4+ years technical experience in a related laboratory setting.
• Demonstrated leadership experience.
• Qualified by CLIA/CAP standards minimally as a general supervisor.
• Preferred: Certification by national laboratory accrediting agency.

Responsibilities

• Technical Expertise - perform routine procedures of a Medical Lab Scientist, analyze data, and support staff.
• Lab Operations - ensure quality, coordinate with leadership, verify procedures and manuals.
• Personnel Management & Development - supervise staff, recruit, onboard, train, evaluate performance.
• Regulatory & Compliance - maintain HIPAA/TJC compliance, implement policies, ensure safety.
• Budget Management - assist with department budget and expenditures.
• Quality Assurance - lead audits and drive process improvements.
