Job summary

Thisiscny is seeking a dedicated staff member to manage specimen receiving and processing in our Pathology lab. The role uses LIS/HIS systems for order accessioning, labeling, delivery, and report preparation, while supporting colleagues and physicians as needed.

Responsibilities include greeting visitors, answering calls, delivering samples to testing laboratories, and rotating between receiving and processing tasks as scheduled. Strong communication and reliable attendance are essential.

Qualifications

• Associates degree required; equivalent combination of education and experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Perform specimen receiving for laboratory specimens using LIS and HIS for order accessioning, labeling, delivery, and report preparation.
• Assist with problem resolution and follow-up with other UH departments and referring physicians.
• Greet and assist visitors to Pathology, answer phone calls, and deliver samples to labs for testing.
• Rotate between Specimen Receiving and Processing as scheduled.
