Job summary

Thisiscny Laboratory is seeking a detail-oriented Specimen Receiving Technician to support LIS and HIS workflows for order accessioning, labeling, and delivery, as well as report preparation.

You will greet visitors, answer phones, and help coordinate sample transport to testing labs. The role rotates between Specimen Receiving and Processing as scheduled and requires accuracy and teamwork in a hospital-affiliated setting.

Qualifications

• Associates degree (preferably in a relevant medical field).
• Equivalency accepted with related education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform specimen receiving for laboratory specimens using LIS and HIS for order accessioning, labeling, delivery, and report preparation.
• Assist with problem resolution and follow-up with other departments and referring physicians.
• Greet and assist visitors, answer phone calls, and deliver samples to labs for testing.
• Rotate between Specimen Receiving and Processing as scheduled.
