Job summary

• Experience initiating and evaluating operational initiatives to improve quality, throughput, and care. Ability to lead others and apply organizational skills. Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully verbally and in writing.
• Preferred: Previous supervisory and fiscal management experience. Familiar with FDA, AABB and CAP Regulations.

Overview

Purpose Statement/Position Summary:

This position ensures that recruitment and collection-related activities are conducted in the safest possible manner and meet or exceed all regulatory standards. The Supervisor performs appropriate budgetary, disciplinary, and HR-related activities and participates in hospital and departmental meetings.

Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience

Required :

5+ in Transfusion Medicine and Blood Donor Center

• Working knowledge of basic office software, LIS and/or HIS computer systems.
• Experience in scheduling & training.

Preferred : Previous supervisory and fiscal management experience. Thorough knowledge of the principles pertaining to the area of responsibility. Familiar with FDA, AABB and CAP Regulations.

Education/Licensure/Certification:

Required : Bachelor’s degree in a clinical lab science, medical technology or related science required.

• Active California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) License

Pay Scale Information

USD $111,862.40 - USD $149,136.00
