Job summary

• Clinical Lab Generalist licensed by Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners as CLG or CLS

Responsibilities

• Receive, process and report on specimens; ensure acceptable quality and proper records.
• Label, accession and distribute specimens while maintaining patient identification.
• Perform gram stains and various preparations for bacteriology and parasitology.
• Operate, calibrate and troubleshoot clinical laboratory instruments and maintain logs.
• Follow universal precautions and dispose of waste according to policy.
