Qualifications

• ASCP/AMT/AAB certification maintenance requirements for certified incumbents.
• Minimum associate degree in medical technology or related science; transcript copy required.

Responsibilities

• Perform, develop and interpret routine and specialized laboratory testing within established time frames.
• Record quality control data and maintain instrument maintenance logs.
• Escalate when results are out of control and document corrective actions.
• Comply with regulatory and accreditation standards for laboratories.
• Follow safety guidelines and proficiency testing protocols.
• Assist in data collection for performance improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Maintain patient privacy and adapt communication to patient population.
• Adhere to all policies and standards; stay informed on applicable laws and regulations.
