Job summary

MLK Community Healthcare is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist to perform comprehensive laboratory testing on patient samples, covering pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical stages. You will ensure QC, maintain equipment, and handle all reporting and documentation with accuracy.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree, CA CLS license, and at least 1 year of clinical lab experience (internships considered). Strong communication and computer skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.
• CA Clinical Laboratory Scientist License is required.
• 1 year of clinical laboratory experience is required.
• Internship experience in a clinical lab may be considered.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills; proficient with computers.

Responsibilities

• Processes samples and performs pre-analytical handling and accessioning.
• Performs analytical laboratory testing according to SOPs across phases.
• Maintains quality control and documents results and maintenance.
• Troubleshoots instrument issues and coordinates service as needed.
• Manages supplies, inventory, and maintains an organized workspace.
