Responsibilities

• Verify that the proper specimen is analyzed for the correct patient and the correct test.
• Analyze clinical laboratory specimens using approved standard methods.
• Perform quality control to ensure accuracy of data.
• Maintain and calibrate instruments, document repairs and maintenance.
• Train laboratory assistants on proper techniques and procedures.
• Provide supervision of Lab Assistants and clerical staff as required.
