Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in medical/biological sciences from an accredited college or university required.
• Completion of one year of full-time laboratory experience or training in the specialty.
• Registered by the ASCP or equivalent; BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Record, prepare, perform, evaluate, and report patient tests across chemistry, microbiology, hematology, serology, coagulation, and blood bank.
• Communicate results with providers and staff regarding interpretation.
• Demonstrates advanced technical skill in blood collection and acts as a resource to clinic/hospital personnel.
• Operate, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot clinical lab instruments and equipment.
• Provide supervision and training for new employees and assess competence.
