Job summary

Eastern Shawnee Staffing Solutions, in partnership with Indian Health Services (IHS), seeks qualified Clinical Laboratory Scientists (CLS) and Medical Laboratory Technicians (MLT) for a long-term contract at Phoenix Indian Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ. Roles involve hospital-based clinical laboratory work and support for patient care in Native communities.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (Bachelor's degree preferred).
• ASCP, AMT, or equivalent certification required.
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• 2-3 years of experience in a hospital laboratory setting.
• Experience in rural or underserved healthcare settings preferred.
• Prior IHS or tribal healthcare experience preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic testing in chemistry, hematology, blood bank, urinalysis, serology, and microbiology.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory analyzers and equipment.
• Perform quality control procedures and equipment calibration.
• Analyze and interpret laboratory results using professional judgement.
• Assist with phlebotomy and specimen collection as needed.
• Document and manage laboratory data within EHR and lab systems.
• Follow laboratory procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements.
• Collaborate with laboratory and healthcare staff to support patient care.
