Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in medical technology, medical laboratory science, or chemical, physical or biological science.
Current Clinical Lab Scientist Generalist license in the state of practice (or within 180 days of hire).
ASCP, AMT or AAB generalist certification as MLS/MT must be obtained within 90 days of hire (or within 90 days for specific facilities).

Responsibilities

Performs, develops and interprets routine and/or specialized laboratory testing independently.
Performs, analyzes and records quality control and instrument maintenance/troubleshooting.
Adheres to regulatory compliance guidelines and accreditation standards for laboratories.
Participates in performance improvement by data collection and analysis.
Supports business development and cost reduction by managing supplies and reagents inventory.
Adapts communication to patient populations and ensures privacy.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Complies with all policies and standards.
