Job summary

Live Well Homecare is seeking a qualified laboratory technician to perform quality diagnostic testing on a variety of specimens, ensuring accurate analysis and timely results.

You will demonstrate clinical competencies across tests, prepare reagents, calibrate instruments, and maintain LAB systems while adhering to safety and departmental policies. You may train new staff and contribute to department productivity.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor's in Medical Technology or related field (or foreign equivalent).
• Certification: ASCP or equivalent eligible.
• Experience: Preferred experience in Blood Banking, Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology, Immunology, or Urinalysis in accredited labs.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality diagnostic laboratory testing on specimens to ensure accurate analysis and timely results.
• Demonstrates clinical competencies for a variety of laboratory tests and procedures.
• Prepares reagents, standards, and controls following prescribed protocols.
• Calibrates, maintains, and standardizes laboratory instruments.
• Researches and develops new testing procedures as assigned.
• Adheres to safety, hospital, and departmental policies and procedures.
• Utilizes computer skills for laboratory and hospital information systems.
• Supports professionalism, continuous growth, and team collaboration.
• Assists in training new staff and students, contributing to department productivity.
