Job summary

Kindred Hospital Rancho is seeking a Medical Technologist to perform routine and special laboratory tests across hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, coagulation, blood bank and microbiology. You will collect specimens by venipuncture and maintain accurate records, ensuring timely and precise reporting.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a chemical, physical, biological science, or medical technology, plus state licensure if required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a chemical, physical, biological science, or medical technology.
• Current state license if required; MT/MLS certification preferred.
• 1–2 years acute care hospital lab experience preferred.
• Fluent English in reading, writing and speaking.
• Good attendance and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Performs analyses in hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, coagulation, blood bank and microbiology.
• Performs venipuncture, finger stick, or heel stick as requested.
• Maintains records and quality control documentation.
• Adheres to specimen handling, testing and reporting procedures.
• Identifies problems and communicates with supervisors as needed.
• Follows corrective action policies when tests deviate.
