Qualifications

• Processes and stores biological specimens, such as blood, body fluids and tissue, and accession them into the Laboratory Information System (LIS).
• Recognizes sample stability and integrity problems/errors before patient testing and notifies appropriate personnel for corrections or resubmissions.

Responsibilities

• Accurately register, receive and label specimens for testing and ensure correct routing within the LIS.
• Operate and maintain minor laboratory equipment and automation lines as assigned.
• Ensure proper storage and LIS accession of specimens and uphold patient safety standards.
