Vanderbilt Health is seeking a experienced Medical Laboratory Scientist to perform testing on patient specimens, evaluate results, and collaborate with the Medical Director and Laboratory Leadership on procedures and policies. You will train staff, review competency, and support KPI-driven quality improvement across the lab.

The role emphasizes oversight of QC/PT, data analysis, and implementing new testing methods while ensuring safe, accurate, and timely patient results.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Medical Laboratory Scientist ASCP certification is required or preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience with proficiency testing and quality assurance in clinical labs.

Responsabilidades

• Ensures effective operations of the department through coordination with interlaboratory and external labs.
• Verify test procedures and establish performance characteristics for tests and systems.
• Collect and analyze data; evaluate and implement new test procedures in routine testing.
• Assist in troubleshooting and maintenance of instruments and QC/PT processes.
