Job summary

USA Health is seeking a Laboratory/Phlebotomy support role to perform supervised laboratory tasks, draw blood from inpatients and outpatients, and process specimens in the LIS. The candidate will ensure accurate specimen handling and maintain clear documentation while collaborating with physicians and staff.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or equivalent and demonstrates proper patient care across neonatal to geriatric populations, with strong attention to safety and infection

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a laboratory setting preferred.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provides support to laboratory staff by performing supervised laboratory functions and services.
• Draws blood specimens for both inpatients and outpatients.
• Accessions and verifies receipt of specimens in writing or electronically.
• Organizes and supports phlebotomy rounds.
• Communicates effectively with physicians, patients, families, and the healthcare team.
• Maintains accurate and complete records including laboratory requisitions and reports.
