Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Completion of phlebotomy training preferred.
• Basic familiarity with lab procedures and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy (venipuncture and capillary) and collect specimens.
• Prepare and process specimens with accurate labeling and documentation.
• Enter data into the EHR and correct billing reports.
• Conduct waived and routine lab testing and quality control.
• Maintain supply inventory and communicate needs to supervisor.
• Provide patient-centered communication about procedures and results.
• Assist with clerical tasks and cross-coverage as needed.
• Adhere to safety and infection control standards.
