Job summary
Qualifications
- WA state certification and phlebotomy competency required at hire.
- Minimum 1 year of MA or Lab Assistant experience performing phlebotomy and CLIA-waived testing.
Responsibilities
- Reception and telephone duties within the laboratory.
- Operate laboratory equipment, including HIS/LIS systems.
- Handle, process, and ship specimens to reference laboratories.
- Perform and document quality control on analyzers (Piccolo, HemoCue, Urocheck).
- Register, order, and obtain patient samples per physician orders.
- Phlebotomy: collect blood samples by venipuncture and skin puncture.
- Work varying shifts as needed.
