Qualifications

• Current licensure as a registered nurse.
• Master's degree in nursing or DNP.
• Complete compliance requirements of SON and/or clinical site.
• Minimum of 2 years of direct patient care as RN or APN.
• Excellent organizational, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to manage details and solve problems in a complex environment.
• Experience fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment at Johns Hopkins SON.
• Experience as a clinical educator is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in mandatory trainings and/or meetings before the semester.
• Teach in clinical, laboratory, and simulation settings using evidence-based practice and adult learning principles.
• Proactively create an inclusive learning environment.
• Ensure complete/assigned clinical hours and time logs.
• Maintain familiarity with theory content and provide standardized learning experiences.
• Follow directions from Clinical Coordinator and Program Director.
• Attend course planning meetings and ensure compliance by students.
• Travel to Johns Hopkins SON and clinical facilities in the Baltimore-Washington area.
