• Demonstrates mastery or strong working knowledge of pathology concepts relevant to practical lab work.
• Demonstrates mastery of specimen collection in practical applications and can train others.
• Maintains focus on customer satisfaction and effective communication with internal and external customers.
• Understands basic equipment maintenance and inventory considerations.

Responsibilities

• Sorting, triaging, receiving, sending, processing and batching specimens.
• Accessioning specimens received with a requisition.
• Processing samples pre-analytically for testing.
• Processing test add-ons and resolving pre-analytical issues.
• Providing general clerical support.
