Job summary

Vanderbilt Health in Nashville is seeking a First Shift Lab Accessioner to prepare specimens and tissue materials for testing. You will package specimens for referral labs and support laboratory staff, with guidance as needed, while delivering courteous customer service to internal and external clients.

You will work closely with medical staff, handle routine clerical tasks, and help maintain quality and compliance in pre-analytical processes.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in a laboratory setting or equivalent.
• Ability to handle specimens and perform basic pre-analytical tasks.
• Strong organizational and clerical skills.

Responsibilities

• Sort, triage, receive, send, process and batch specimens.
• Process samples pre-analytically for testing.
• Provide general clerical support.
