Be a part of a world‑class academic healthcare system, Ingalls Memorial Hospital, as a Clinical Lab Associate 4 in the Laboratory Service Center department. In this role you will work in partnership with laboratory team members, other departments, patient care services, and hospital departments. The Laboratory Service Center is available for urgent or standard result times. We can analyze specimens at the cellular, chemical, endocrinological or immunologic levels. Through numerous lab specialties and processes, we offer an expansive array of tests performed by experienced laboratory professionals to provide insights on your health. This position is a 100% onsite opportunity and you must be based in the greater Chicagoland area.
Under the leadership of the Director of Laboratory Services and Laboratory Supervisors, you will perform assigned supportive work in the delivery of patient care, involving multiple office, clerical and technical duties. You will interact, intervene, and problem‑solve to ensure exceptional customer service by greeting patients, responding to telephone inquiries and faxes, and distributing test results. You will process human specimens for delivery to laboratory departments for testing, perform a limited number of technical procedures for which training has been given and competency demonstrated, and perform blood specimen collection within compliance of Federal Regulatory Guidelines. You will demonstrate necessary skills and knowledge through competencies for specific skills appropriate to the age of patients served as delineated by competency tools. You will perform other duties as assigned.
In this role you will generally work approximately 40 hours per week. Your schedule will consist of one 8‑hour day shift, with a start time ranging between 11:00 am–2:00 pm, and will not include on‑call shifts. The position is 100% onsite at the Ingalls campus. Weeks may include occasional weekend work (Saturday and/or Sunday).

The pay range is based on a full‑time equivalent (1.0 FTE) and is reflective of current market data, reviewed on an annual basis. Compensation offered at the time of hire will vary based on candidate qualifications and experience and organizational considerations, such as internal equity.
