Qualifications

• 2 years of related laboratory experience; related college laboratory classes may be accepted in lieu of experience.
• Some College may be preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle and process specimens according to departmental protocols.
• Perform specimen accession into LIS and prepare specimens for testing.
• Carry out basic technical tasks (placing samples in automated analyzers, streak culture plates, etc.).
• Submit specimens to testing department and manage specimen storage with retention protocols.
• Maintain accurate patient identification and confidentiality for all samples.
