Qualifications

• Six months of experience as a laboratory assistant.
• Six months of experience in phlebotomy working in an acute care facility.
• Current California Phlebotomy certification (CT PHLEBOT).
• Medical Laboratory Technician certification can be accepted in lieu of.
• Current AHA CPR certification (CT CPRBLS).

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples and maintain specialized equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance and repair on instruments as directed.
• Perform routine automated testing in multiple areas of the clinical laboratory under direct supervision of licensed personnel.
