Job summary

Texas Health Fort Worth is seeking a Clinical Lab Assistant PRN to support histology, send outs, and cytology in a fast-paced laboratory environment.

Responsibilities include specimen integrity, test procedures, and quality control, with opportunities for mentorship and growth within a Magnet-designated hospital system. Entry requirements include a high school diploma and eligibility for CLIA regulations; recruitment email provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• CLIAFE – must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency
• Specimen processing experience highly preferred.
• 6 Months experience as a phlebotomist or completion of a one semester course in phlebotomy preferred.
• PBT (ASCP) – Phlebotomy Technician preferred upon hire.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong critical thinking, problem solving and organizational skills.
• Proficient in basic computer skills.

Clinical Lab Assistant PRN

This position will cover 3 areas of our lab: Histology, Send outs and Cytology. Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together

Work location: 1301 Pennsylvania Ave. Fort Worth, TX 76104

Work hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
