Job summary

HonorHealth Deer Valley area in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Day-shift CLA/phlebotomy support team member for the LAB Outside Lab. Responsibilities include specimen retrieval, processing, phlebotomy, and basic office duties with customer service and data entry.

The role involves 3-12 hour day shifts Mon-Fri with alternating weekends/holidays, and requires a High School Diploma or GED plus 2–5 years phlebotomy experience. Certifications or equivalent training are required.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years phlebotomy/CLA experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certifications such as Medical Technologist (AMT) or COLT or equivalent required, or exceptions for individuals with 1–2 years lab experience.
• Certificate programs in Laboratory Assisting or equivalent required.
• Equivalent certification required.

Responsibilities

• Retrieves specimens from pneumatic tube system and initiates processing; prepares samples for analysis per section procedures and standards.
• Prepares specimens for reference testing; completes requisitions, packaging, storage, and notifies courier for pickup.
• Performs and documents instrument function verification, preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment per guidelines.
• Answers telephone and follows through with requests; maintains inventory and stock supplies; reviews policies and communications; assists in training staff and students.
• Performs phlebotomy as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.
