Job summary

Qualifications

• High School or GED required; valid driver's license.
• 6 months to 1 year experience in phlebotomy and/or specimen processing.
• Active driver’s license and auto insurance if working in skilled nursing facility setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy and specimen processing per campus needs; maintain safety and infection control.
• Handle specimens including blood, urine, tissue, and other body fluids; communicate with staff and patients.
• Operate LIS and other computer systems; assist clinicians and patients and maintain accurate records.
• Adhere to regulatory requirements (CAP, OSHA, JCAHO, CMS) and laboratory policies.
