Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Preferred Associate’s degree or higher.

Responsibilities

• Performs phlebotomy collections from inpatients and outpatients with proper patient identification and labeling.
• Ensures samples are processed promptly and distributed to correct testing location.
• Assists with supply ordering and restocking; maintains clean work areas.
• Performs computer registration and order entry for patients and specimens; ensures accurate data entry.
• Maintains competency in drug screen collections to meet Federal guidelines.
• Communicates with physicians and nursing staff to ensure proper procurement of specimens and correct orders.
