Job summary

The position requires a HS diploma, 1 year clinical lab experience preferred, CPT I/II certification where applicable, and a current BLS certification. Per Diem schedule and day shifts offered.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Minimum 1-year clinical laboratory experience performing similar job functions preferred.
• State Certified as CPT I or CPT II if the laboratory is located in a state where required.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs clerical duties: data entry, filing, telephone communication.
• Greet patients and visitors, maintain polite and friendly demeanor.
• Demonstrates knowledge of laboratory test terminology and phlebotomy practices.
• Assists in collection of specimens across patient ages.
• Processes specimens for pre-analytic phase including various test areas.
• Stocks and orders routine supplies; keeps work areas clean.
• May assist in instrument maintenance and quality control with training.
• Supports pathology and other departments as needed.
