Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking a laboratory technician to collect and process samples, perform tests, and help manage quality control procedures. You will use information systems to document results and communicate with nurses and physicians.

The role requires a high school diploma with preferred associate degree in sciences, and the ability to work alternate shifts including weekends and holidays. On-site in California with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred in related sciences.
• Experience or training in laboratory procedures and QC is desirable.
• Ability to follow policies, document effectively, and handle data.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process samples; perform waived and moderate complexity tests per policy.
• Monitor quality control and proficiency testing; document results and issues.
• Maintain equipment and assist with administrative office tasks as needed.
