Job summary

Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital is seeking a Clinical Lab Assistant for part-time evening shifts (Wednesday through Friday, 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM). Bring your passion to Texas Health as we are Better + Together, delivering high-quality patient care in a leading North Texas facility.

Responsibilities include phlebotomy procedures, specimen collection, patient identification and labeling, and reporting test results.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required. (Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency is required. CLIAFE)
• Six (6) months experience as a phlebotomist or completion of a one semester course in phlebotomy is highly preferred.
• PBT(ASCP) - Phlebotomy Technician is preferred upon hire.

• For those entities performing phlebotomy, employees follow laboratory procedure for specimen collection, patient identification and labeling as appropriate for the age of the patient
• Performs procedures in other areas of the Laboratory as required by hospital entity
• Reports and evaluates test results
• Helps other hospital and laboratory coworkers to provide timely patient care

Work hours: Part Time - Evenings, Wednesday through Friday, 1300-2130.
