Job summary

Texas Health Resources is seeking a Clinical Lab Assistant Supervisor to lead the Arlington Memorial laboratory team. The role oversees schedules and assignments, ensures accurate specimen processing, and coordinates new testing techniques.

Strong communication is required to support patient care and collaborate with the lab team. The position requires 5 years as a phlebotomist with specimen processing and 2 years of leadership experience preferred, with ASCP phlebotomy tech upon hire preferred.

Qualifications

  • 5 years experience as a Phlebotomist with specimen processing required.
  • 2 years leadership experience preferred.
  • PBT(ASCP) - Phlebotomy Technician upon hire preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, reading/writing and communications skills in English.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee work schedules and personnel assignments for the department.
  • Assist in investigations of corrected and situation reports; inform supervisor as needed.
  • Coordinate evaluation of new techniques and procedures in the laboratory.
  • Check and investigate specimens not collected/received on outstanding tests list.

Full Time - Days, Monday through Friday; 0600-1430

Here's What You Need
  • H.S. Diploma or Equivalent Required
  • 5 Years Experience as a Phlebotomist and specimen processing Required
  • 2 Years Leadership Experience Preferred
  • PBT(ASCP) - Phlebotomy Technician Upon Hire Preferred
  • Strong, positive interpersonal skills. Ability to read, write, and speak English clearly.
  • Problem-solving ability, time management skills, and possesses organizational skills to function successfully in a fast-paced work environment.
What You Will Do
  • Oversees work schedules and personnel assignments for the department
  • Assist in investigation of corrected and situation reports when required. Informs supervisor of any situation that requires counseling of employees
  • Coordinates evaluation of new techniques and procedures in the laboratory in terms of equipment, space method comparison.
  • Checks and investigates specimens not collected/received on the outstanding tests list
