Job summary

TriCore Reference Laboratories in Albuquerque seeks a Clinical Lab Assistant to support woodward/specimen management across multiple modalities. The role offers on-site work with varied shifts and potential apprenticeship for candidates with limited experience.

Successful candidates may begin at CLA Level 1 with progression based on modalities completed, and must meet immunization and licensing requirements where applicable.

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma or equivalent.
• Immunization against Hepatitis B or waiver; provide documentation of a PPD test within 90 days prior to hire or through TriCore.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record; must be insurable by lab carrier.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties in a professional and courteous manner.
• Maintains supplies and inventory necessary to perform departmental functions.
• Observe students and/or new staff as needed.
• Exhibits basic problem solving skills to ensure exceptional customer and patient care service levels.
• Responsible for hospital communication responsibilities, including on-call per location.
• Demonstrates effective telephone and verbal communication skills.
• Maintains confidentiality of position and access to information.
• Participates in on-call coverage and holidays/evenings/weekends as needed.
• Basic PC skills.
