Job summary

Kindred Hospital Chicago - North seeks a Clinical Laboratory Assistant to join a 164-bed facility providing extended care. You will collect specimens, process samples, and assist with waived laboratory testing while supporting technologists.

Minimum high school diploma and 1–3 years of clinical laboratory experience preferred. Certification is helpful but not required; state license/registration as required by your state.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years of clinical laboratory experience preferred.
• Medical Lab Assistant certification preferred but not required; state license/registration as needed.

Responsibilities

• Verifies test requisitions and patient identification.
• Collects blood specimens via venipuncture or fingerstick.
• Prepares specimens for testing and supports waived testing.
• Assists with laboratory clerical tasks and phone coverage.
• Coordinates workflow and communicates critical values to care providers.
