Job summary

TriCore Reference Laboratories is seeking a Clinical Lab Assistant for the Woodward, NM location. This hourly position requires independence with minimal supervision and the ability to perform multiple modalities. Apprenticeship potential is offered for candidates without experience.

Regular attendance during scheduled hours is essential. The role involves front-line patient and client interactions, specimen handling, and coverage for various shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• PBT (ASCP) or equivalent certification preferred.
• Completion of a relevant Clinical Lab Assistant or comparable program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties in a professional and courteous manner.
• Maintain supplies and inventory needed for departmental functions.
• Demonstrate professional judgment when dealing with clients and co-workers.
• Handle on-call responsibilities and hospital communications as assigned.
• Document critical communications and participate in coverage for holidays, evenings, and weekends.
