Job summary

Texas Health Arlington Memorial is seeking a Clinical Lab Assistant for full-time evening shifts. The role involves phlebotomy duties, specimen collection, labeling, and ensuring accurate patient identification for all ages.

You will also assist in other lab areas as needed and help report test results to support timely patient care. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with preferred phlebotomy experience and PBT certification upon hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months experience as a phlebotomist is highly preferred.
• PBT(ASCP) - Phlebotomy Technician is preferred upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens and ensure proper patient identification and labeling.
• Perform procedures in other areas of the Laboratory as required.
• Report and evaluate test results.
• Support hospital and laboratory teams to provide timely patient care.

Work hours: Full Time - Evenings, Monday through Friday, 1330-2200.

What You’ll Need

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.(Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency is required. CLIAFE)
• Six (6) months experience as a phlebotomist or completion of a one semester course in phlebotomy is highly preferred.
• PBT(ASCP) - Phlebotomy Technician is preferred upon hire.

What You'll Do

• For those entities performing phlebotomy, employees follow laboratory procedure for specimen collection, patient identification and labeling as appropriate for the age of the patient
• Performs procedures in other areas of the Laboratory as required by hospital entity
• Reports and evaluates test results
• Helps other hospital and laboratory coworkers to provide timely patient care
